Supporting Young People in Hertfordshire

Welcome to The Sandbox

Free mental health support for ages 10–25

The Sandbox is an NHS‑funded digital mental health service giving children and young people a safe, accessible space to understand their emotions and learn practical ways to cope with life’s ups and downs.

The Sandbox has provides engaging, evidence‑based tools for young people, parents and carers, teachers and professionals. From interactive resources and worksheets to group sessions, live events and 1‑to‑1 therapy (where appropriate), designed to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing.

A simple triage process ensures each young person gets the right support at the right time - whether that’s guided internet-enabled Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) sessions with a qualified therapist via video call.

Therapy sessions are available from 7am–10pm (Mon–Fri), 10am–10pm (weekends), and our live chat is available from 10am–8pm (Mon–Fri).

Have Your Say

We want to hear from young people and parents or carers from Asian backgrounds about their experiences accessing mental health support.

If you’ve ever tried to get help (for yourself or for your child), your perspective can help shape more inclusive and accessible support for others.

The survey is anonymous, should take only about 5 minutes, and is open to both young people and parents/carers.

Your feedback will help The Sandbox understand what works well, what doesn’t, and where things need to improve.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at sandbox@mindler.co.uk.
